President Obama will give his annual State of the Union address (SOTU) on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013. This nationally-televised speech is expected to build upon the president’s inaugural address given on January 21, in which he detailed for the nation his policy priorities for 2013 and his second term. President Obama is expected to use this setting to describe his vision for upcoming policy debates on deficit reduction, gun control, tax reform and comprehensive immigration legislation.
Please join the SHRM Government Affairs Team at 8:30 p.m. ET on Feb. 12 for a live chat on the SOTU.
