Government Relations Sessions Added to SHRM’s Annual Conference in June
We know that there were many SHRM members who were unable to attend the 2009 Employment Law and Legislative Conference in Washington, DC in March. We also know that there continues to be growing interest in this year’s public policy agenda.

Therefore, we’re pleased to report that the following new government affairs sessions have been added to the SHRM 2009 Annual Conference and Exposition program:
- Presentations will address such issues as FMLA, labor relations, immigration, employment law, and other public policy developments.
- SHRM’s Director of Government Affairs, Michael Aitken, will be presenting Hot Topics and New Developments in HR: A Public Policy Update.
- Also, just added: The HR in the Federal Sector seminar will deliver up-to-date content based on current legislation, recent HR developments, and industry expertise.
SHRM’s Annual Conference will take place from June 28 – July 1, 2009 in New Orleans.
If you like, you can register for the Sunday One-Day pass ($395 for SHRM Members), which includes access to the Super Sunday Session, The Calm Before the Storm: An Update on Labor-Relations Initiatives Before the Obama Administration and the 111th Congress, the opening General Session with former General Electric CEO Jack Welch, and the SHRM Exposition Grand Opening and Reception.
