Last month, SHRM member Martin Babinec of Little Falls, New York, found out with it means to “Get Out the Vote.”

Babinec, who is the Founder and Chairman of Tri-Net, Inc., went door-to-door in Glens Falls, encouraging citizens to vote in last month’s Special Election to determine who would represent the 20th District of New York State in the United States Congress. The seat, previously held by Congresswoman Kristin Gillibrand (D-NY), became vacant when she was selected by New York Governor David Paterson (D) to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton as New York’s junior senator in the U.S. Senate.
