SHRM Interim President and CEO to Testify Before House Veterans’ Affairs Committee Next Week
On May 24, 2011, SHRM Interim President and CEO Hank Jackson will testify before the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs during a hearing titled, “Putting America’s Veterans Back to Work.”
According to the hearing notice, this session is designed to examine the issue of high unemployment among returning veterans. SHRM was invited to provide testimony by committee Chairman Jeff Miller (R-FL, pictured at right), offering our experience and expertise on how to improve the employment opportunities for our service men and women.

e-newsletter was published, SHRM’s Government Affairs staff received notification from the U.S. House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs that the May 24 hearing has been postponed to a later date. The new date of the hearing is yet to be determined.
