Barely halfway into 2012 and support for When Work Works, the joint project of SHRM and the Families and Work Institute (FWI), continues to grow. With over 50 educational programs scheduled for 2012 and 26 programs completed to date, this effort to raise awareness of the business benefits of workplace flexibility in communities across the country continues to grow.
Most recently, SHRM and FWI welcomed the Southwest Washington Human Resources Management Association (SWHRMA) as our latest When Work Works community partner. With this addition, the total number of community partners now stands at 25, which includes 8 SHRM state councils or chapters.
In addition to leading on this key business issue, these SHRM affiliates serving as community partners can satisfy either the state focused council or community based chapter initiative under SHAPE. To learn how your state council or chapter can get involved, check out the When Work Works Toolkit and/or submit a Commitment to Partner form.
