Caryn Dashukewich has been promoted by Olympus Corp. of the Americas, a precision technology leader. Dashukewich will be corporate vice president, Human Resources, and will report directly to President and CEO F. Mark Gumz. Dashukewich, a seasoned human resources professional with nearly 20 years of experience, will support all Olympus businesses in the U.S., Canada and Latin America.
Under her leadership, the HR team executes responsibilities for organizational development, employment, training, employee relations, compensation, benefits, employee services and all other facets of managing the company’s human capital. She joined Olympus in 2006 as director of Human Resources for Olympus’ Medical and Surgical Products business in the Americas and was promoted to executive director in 2007.
Prior to joining Olympus, Dashukewich was the HR director for North America at Agere Systems Inc., a spin-off of Lucent Technologies now known as LSI, in Allentown, Pa. She has held positions with the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and Stateside Associates in Washington, D.C. Dashukewich graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in psychology and earned a master’s degree in applied behavioral science from Johns Hopkins University.
Steve LaMotta, a veteran in the talent management and marketing professions, has joined the Enterprise Engagement Alliance (EEA) as executive director. LaMotta will direct sponsorship activities to help connect organizations that need engagement solutions with those that provide them.
The mission of the Enterprise Engagement Alliance is to foster and promote research, education, certification and networking opportunities that further engagement across the organization. Enterprise engagement is a growing interdisciplinary field that connects people, performance and profitability among customers, employees, salespeople, vendors, communities and other channel partners.
LaMotta has previously served as vice president, Development and Alliances, for the Human Capital Institute (HCI), where he was instrumental in tripling the organization’s revenues. Prior to HCI, LaMotta was a key member of the HRsmart executive team, responsible for business development, alliances, business process and professional services. He has held the positions of managing partner at HR Alliance, co-founder and president at Staffing.org, Inc., and VP Business Development at Bernard Hodes Group and People Solutions, Inc.
