Adin C. Goldberg has been appointed senior vice president and chief human resource officer of Rainbow Apparel Companies, one of the nation’s leading women’s and children’s apparel retailers. Goldberg will head the company’s Human Resources Department, oversee legal matters in the labor, employment and employee benefits area, and serve as a member of the senior management team.
Goldberg formerly was a partner of the law firm of Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC, in the firm’s New York City office. He has represented Rainbow in labor and employment law matters since 1985. Goldberg has represented many other companies in the retail industry and in other industries in the full range of labor, employment and human resource issues.
Goldberg is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center and of Hunter College of the City University of New York. He is a member of the American Management Association’s Human Resources Council.
Rainbow operates approximately 1,100 stores in 38 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, under the “Rainbow Shops,”, “5-7-9” and “Marianne” names.
Chrys Martin has been added to Davis Wright Tremaine LLP’s Portland, Ore., office. She joins the firm as a partner and will focus on counseling and litigation in employment, labor and benefits issues for employers.
Martin arrives from Bullivant Houser Bailey, where she spent 29 years advising and defending employers of all sizes. Her primary experience is managing complex litigation matters and providing advice and counseling for employers. Martin led the litigation team in what was the largest investment manager fraud case in U.S. history.
In addition to maintaining an active practice, Martin is involved in several professional and civic organizations. She is a member and past general counsel of the Portland Human Resources Management Association, a fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel and a member of the International Foundation of Employee Benefits. She serves as vice chair of the Board of Directors for Portland Center Stage.
