Carrie L. Ortsey has been named director of organizational effectiveness for Cleveland-based diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp. Ortsey will provide global leadership in the design, improvement and assessment of organizational practices.
Ortsey joined Eaton in 2006 and most recently served as the Electrical Sector’s lead for LINK, a human resource project involving the collection and updating of employee information. Prior to that, she served as division human resources manager for the Electrical Services and Systems Division in the Electrical Sector. Prior to joining Eaton, Ortsey worked at Diageo, a global premium beverage distributor, where she served as director of training and organizational effectiveness for North America supply. Prior to that, she held a variety of HR positions of increasing responsibility for Aramark.
Ortsey holds a bachelor’s degree in dietetics and a master’s degree in labor relations from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Morey Raiskin has joined Burr & Forman LLP’s Orlando, Fla., office as a partner. Raiskin brings nearly 30 years of experience in labor and employment law, advising employers on personnel matters, including personnel policy and guideline development, noncompete agreements, union-related activities, and wage and hour and discrimination claims.
Raiskin has extensive experience litigating employment claims before administrative agencies and in state and federal courts across the country, including the U.S Supreme Court. Prior to joining Burr & Forman, he led the labor and employment practice group at an Orlando-based firm and served as lead labor and employment law counsel at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Inc. and administrative vice president of Sea World. Before Raiskin relocated his practice to Orlando, he represented management in the hotel and gaming industry in Las Vegas.
