Kevin D. Silva has been hired as executive vice president and chief human resources officer of ING U.S. Silva will direct a human resources strategy aimed at building ING’s human capital. Silva, who is based in New York, will report to ING U.S. CEO Rodney Martin.
Silva joins ING U.S. from Argo Group International, a global, publicly traded specialty insurance company, where he served as chief human resources officer. At Argo, he was responsible for building a high-performing team and implementing compensation, succession and executive development practices.
Prior to joining Argo, Silva spent more than 13 years at MBIA Insurance Corp., a global, publicly traded insurance company where he served as chief administrative officer responsible for the HR, corporate administration, information resources, facilities and telecommunications, and records management functions. He served as an advisor to MBIA’s business leaders on individual and financial performance improvement. Silva also served in senior human resources leadership roles with Merrill Lynch, MasterCard International and Pepsi Cola Co.
Sherry Blakelock has joined the IMPACT Group team as national business development executive. IMPACT Group is a WBE-global career management firm.
Blakelock will be based in Houston, supporting the Southwest Region.
She has more than 20 years of diverse business experience, specializing in business development and client management in the HR consulting industry. Prior to joining IMPACT Group, Blakelock was vice president, client services, for Right Management, a Manpower Group company, where she was recognized globally for sales excellence.
