Heather Swift has been named regional vice president of RiseSmart, a leading provider of next-generation outplacement solutions. She comes to the post from Lee Hecht Harrison, where she was vice president of business development and client relations.
At Lee Hecht Harrison, Swift was responsible for developing relationships with key clients. She was recognized eight times for her exceptional performance as a member of the firm’s President’s Leadership Circle.
“The addition of Heather will significantly strengthen our sales force by creating solid representation throughout all regions of the United States,” said Kim Johnson, vice president of sales for the San Jose, Calif.-based RiseSmart. “With 17 years of experience in the talent management industry and a record of sales growth across various business lines in Fortune 500 companies … Heather will serve as an integral asset in the growth plans for RiseSmart.”
In 2009 Swift launched a television show, “The Career Corner.” As creator, producer and host, she provides career advice, conducts interviews with talented and knowledgeable colleagues and shares her experiences in the talent management space.
Swift previously held an account executive position at Staffmark, Inc., and worked as a personal staffing representative at The TemPositions Group of Companies.
Cathy Medeiros has been named vice president of diversity and inclusion for diversified industrial manufacturer Eaton Corp.
Medeiros will report to James W. McGill, executive vice president and chief human resources officer, and will be based in Cleveland.
Medeiros joined Eaton in 2003 and most recently served as the vice president of human resources for the Aerospace Group. Prior to joining Eaton, she held the position of vice president of human resources for the Seal Group at Parker Hannifin, where she had progressively more responsible human resources management positions from 1987 to 2003.
“Cathy’s passion and broad HR leadership experiences will help us leverage diversity and inclusion and make it a source of competitive advantage for the company,” said McGill. “During the past eight years, she has helped the Aerospace Group develop creative and effective human resources programs, and we look forward to have Cathy take on this newly created position.”
Medeiros holds a bachelor's degree in organizational development from the University of San Francisco and a master's degree in business and human resources management from Chapman University in California.
