Jacquelyn Cox, who holds a master’s degree in human resource management from Texas A&M University, has been a member of SHRM for over 10 years. She is presently employed by ExxonMobil, focusing on complex, global human resources issues for the organization’s downstream operations. Prior to joining ExxonMobil, Cox directed human resource operations for divisions of Parsons Infrastructure and Technology and SpectraSite Communications, Inc. Cox is actively involved in a number of community and professional organizations and previously served in a public relations capacity for the North Carolina state SHRM board. Cox also teaches regularly with Arlington Public School’s Adult Education programs and provides employment skills training to community non-profit organizations in the Washington, DC area.

Bernadette Kenny serves as both Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Career Officer for Adecco Group North America. She is responsible for the human resource functions all Adecco companies, including Lee Hecht Harrison, Ajilon Professional Staffing and Ajilon Consulting. As Chief Career Officer, Kenny has expanded responsibilities to actively demonstrate Adecco’s commitment to the personal career development of our employees, and to support Adecco’s clients in their workforce planning. She is a well known consultant to Fortune 500 companies on all aspects of career transition and development, and is an expert on career management and workforce trends. To date, Kenny is the only Chief Career Officer named in the staffing industry. Prior to assuming her role at Adecco in February, 2006, Kenny was Chief Global Sales and Marketing Officer of Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH). There, she was responsible for the business development of global accounts and for leveraging the brand and its services. At one time, Kenny also served as LHH’s Chief Operating Officer, responsible for directing all operational aspects of the firm, the industry’s first woman in that role. Bernadette’s prior roles at LHH include Corporate Director of LHH’s Project Services Division and National Accounts, General Manager of the Stamford office, founding member of LHH's Professional Development Team and Senior Consultant. Before joining LHH in 1983, Kenny was Manager, Corporate Human Resources at Kennecott Corporation. She started her career in human resources with Ebasco Services. Kenny is a Board member of The Business Council of Fairfield County and the YWCA of White Plains. She is a Career Management Fellow of the Institute of Career Certification International. She is a member of International Association of Corporate and Professional Recruiters, the Human Resource Planning Society, past Board Member of Pace University Alumni and is currently a career mentor for Pace. Previously as a national employment director, Sommers guided the staffing, college relations, international assignments, and relocation programs for Ericsson, a worldwide leader in telecommunications. Before joining Ericsson, Sommers assisted Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) with the development and integration of an innovative behavioral interview program for experienced hiring. He began his professional career in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot and aircraft commander before joining EDS as a systems engineer. Sommers previously served on the national board of directors for EMA as vice president of professional development and is the 2007 Immediate Past President of the Dallas/Fort Worth EMA special interest SHRM chapter. He has served on technical university advisory boards, including the Global Wireless Education Consortium, a partnership between academia and the telecommunications industry.
