The Ohio SHRM State Council’s program introduced basic human resources concepts and processes to small business owners in Ohio, who often do not have an HR representative on site. It offered basic information addressing common concerns of small businesses, such as: compliance, workplace policies and programs to implement to be current and attractive. The six modules of “HR Makes a Difference” take a small business owner through the employee life cycle – from recruitment through retirement – providing valuable information that is easily transferrable to their organization.
