Daniel Shapiro

Dr. Daniel Shapiro

Daniel Shapiro, Ph.D., is founder and director of the world renowned Harvard International Negotiation Initiative and associate director of the Harvard Negotiation Project, the group that wrote the international bestseller Getting to Yes. Shapiro is on the faculty at Harvard Law School and in the psychiatry department at Harvard Medical School/McLean Hospital. In addition, he is co-author of the bestseller Beyond Reason: Using Emotions as You Negotiate.

Recently, Dr. Shapiro was named chair of the World Economic Forum’s Council on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, an elite group working with a wide variety of leaders. They share insights on how to deal effectively with people in situations with very high stakes.

 

Sridhar Balasubramanian Dr. Sridhar Balasubramanian

Dr. Sridhar Balasubramanian (“Dr. B”) is the Roy & Alice H. Richards Bicentennial Scholar and associate professor of Marketing, Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Dr. B’s teaching and research interests are in the areas of marketing strategy, customer-focus, innovation and growth strategy, services design and marketing, e-commerce, customer relationship management, game theory, and the management of competition.
Dr. B was designated an M.B.A. Master Teacher at UNC and has also taught executive education programs in Mexico, Portugal and India. In addition, he has conducted executive education programs for and/or consulted with numerous organizations, including Boeing, Caterpillar, John Deere, the State Bank of Hyderabad, the U.S. Navy and Xerox. Before beginning his academic career, Dr. B was an area sales manager for India’s leading food manufacturing and marketing company.

 

Anil Gupta

Dr. Anil Gupta

Dr. Anil Gupta is the Ralph J. Tyser Professor of Strategy and Organization at the Smith School of Business, The University of Maryland at College Park. He has served as a visiting professor at Stanford University, Dartmouth College, Bocconi Business School (Milan, Italy), Helsinki School of Economics and Business Administration (Finland), and IPMI (Jakarta, Indonesia).

Dr. Gupta is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading experts on global strategy. He is the author of several books: The Quest for Global Dominance, Smart Globalization, and Global Strategy and Organization. His new book, The Battle for China and India, was published in Fall 2008.
