GLOBAL NETWORKING LOUNGE
The Global Networking Lounge is a special gathering place for attendees from outside the United States and for those interested in international HR. Please come and have an early start in your conference experience by participating in the Saturday educational program designed for attendees from abroad, participate in scheduled activities including an international reception, educational table topic lunches and opportunities for establishing valuable contacts.
Global Partners
As founding member of the World Federation of People Management Associations (WFPMA), SHRM interacts with HR associations in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America. In 1997, SHRM helped found the North American Human Resource Management Association (NAHRMA) to provide regional representation for Canada, the United States and Mexico. Currently, SHRM serves on the boards of WFPMA and NAHRMA. In cooperation with these organizations, SHRM strives to contribute to the strategic development of the HR profession worldwide. Many partner organizations will be present at the 61st Annual Conference & Exposition in New Orleans, LA.
Meet to Eat Program
There’s no reason for your networking opportunities to stop simply because the concurrent sessions have concluded for the day. Each night, we provide a Meet to Eat service that matches you up with your fellow conference attendees and makes reservations for your group at a local San Diego restaurant. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to make new friends, have a fabulous dinner, and continue the momentum from the conference by discussing all that you’ve learned!
SAN DIEGO TOURS
The optional tour program brings together first timers, conference veterans, and guests to participate in several activities both before and during the conference. It is an excellent opportunity for people who are coming in early and traveling alone to network and meet other conference attendees.
