Recertification Hours: 7.5

Program Overview

The field of workplace diversity and inclusion represents a challenging and exciting career path for those who seek to create positive changes in organizations. However, competent diversity and inclusion practitioners must be more than "passionate believers." They must be strong communicators who can effectively negotiate and influence people. They must be humble leaders who can interact and motivate individuals as well as groups. But above all, they must be savvy business professionals who are willing to initiate and steer organizational change.

For those who are new to the field, or those who wish to begin a career in diversity and inclusion management, this one-day workshop will introduce attendees to the broad range of knowledge, tasks and competencies necessary to practice effectively in the 21st century. "The Diversity Practitioner of the 21st Century" involves an interactive day filled with cutting-edge research, best practices, and real-life case studies — all taught by dynamic expert facilitators with more than 10 years of experience in the field.

Who Should Attend?

  • HR generalists
  • New practitioners (less than three years' experience)
  • Those interested in entering the field
  • Line leaders and supervisors interested in leading diverse teams and partnering effectively with HR and D&I practitioners
