As part of SHRM’s commitment to developing the HR profession globally, SHRM opened offices in Beijing, China.
To provide educational products to Chinese HR professionals, SHRM has entered into a partnership with the Hay Group, a global management consultancy with significant operations in China, China International Intellectual Corp (CIIC), a Chinese national HR service company, and C-Alliance, an HR consulting and training company in Shanghai, for those companies to provide the professional development courses.
Multinational companies based in China will invest around the world, and their HR practitioners will need to understand the global environment. To help them, SHRM created the Global Learning System, which is preparatory material to support those practitioners who seek to obtain the Global Professional in HR (GPHR) certification from the SHRM-affiliated Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI). SHRM China, through its partners in China, also provide other training programs like Strategic HR: Delivering Business Results, HR Business Partners and SHRM China HR Generalist certificate programs customized to meet the local needs.
