Part one of a series of SHRM surveys focusing on the uses of social media in the workplace, particularly by HR. These findings examine the use of social media as a tool for identifying and staffing potential job candidates. Results show that more one-half (56%) of organizations are currently using social media as a tool to recruit potential job candidate. This is an increase since 2008, when only 34% of the organizations indicated using these sites as a means of recruiting.
