HR Leaders to Learn about Top Business Challenges at HRPS Global Conference March 30-April 2

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — HR People & Strategy’s (HRPS) 2014 Global Conference will enable executive-level human resource professionals to learn about today’s top business challenges related to talent acquisition, global expansion and strategic planning.

HRPS, a network of executive HR leaders, is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). Its theme for this year’s conference is “RESET: New Realities for the New Economy.”

    Summary: Today one in three employers cannot fill available jobs. In this session, attendees will learn about and discuss internal interventions that organizations can implement to address scarcities of critical talent.
  • Designing Organizations for the New Realities; Presenter: Rob Capelle, president & CEO, Capelle Associates Inc., Toronto, Ontario; Summary: The new economy demands business models that can handle the complexity and flexibility of a shifting marketplace. Participants will explore compelling research and learn how optimized organization design can improve performance and employee engagement.
  • Encore Careers: Unprecedented Opportunities; Presenter: Marc Freedman, CEO and founder, Encore Fellowship Program, San Francisco; Summary: The aging Baby Boomer generation will have a significant impact on how organizations will address challenges and take advantage of talent. This session will uncover how encore careers tap into the experience of people past midlife to solve pressing corporate challenges in education, health, social services and sustainability.
