SHRM Wins Three Readers’ Choice Awards

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) recently won three Readers’ Choice Awards for the best job board for HR professionals, the best website for HR legal information, and the favorite HR blog.'s Readers' Choice Awards highlight the best products, features and services across a wide variety of topics from technology to hobbies to business. The website’s readers choose the winners, and the awards began in 2008 reader-driven on’s technology channel.

The three winning SHRM websites are:

1.      SHRM Online – “the best website for HR legal information” provides the most up-do-date HR and business news targeted to HR professionals and SHRM members. The legal issues section of the website focuses on employment law and legislation news.

“Employers deal with complicated legal issues every week,” Joanne Deschenaux, SHRM’s senior legal editor. “SHRM Online provides current and well-researched information on legal issues big and small that HR professionals can turn to quickly for answers.”

2.      We Know Next blog – “the favorite HR blog”

Originally a SHRM public affairs campaign to increase awareness of HR’s expertise in business, the We Know Next blog has become a resource for business executives, policymakers and HR leaders to explore and discuss the latest workforce trends.

“This award is really about the Next Official Bloggers and the excellent content they provide throughout the year,” said Mary Kaylor, SHRM’s manager of public affairs. “The We Know Next blog has become a forum for influential HR professionals to share their expertise and engage in a conversation with the larger business community.”

3.      HR Jobs – “the best job board for HR professionals”

The leading job board for the HR profession for both SHRM members and non-members has more than 200,000 registered HR professionals using the website.

“As experts in hiring and recruiting, HR professionals know that industry job boards are one of the best places to find the talent they need,” said Omar Scott, SHRM’s manager of the recruitment job board. “SHRM’s HR Jobs is the best place to both find the top HR talent and locate open positions in the HR industry.”
