Lari Braun, SPHR is Henry & Horne’s Director of Human Resources based in the Tempe office. She administers the benefits, compensation, and payroll functions for the firm. She is also involved with all recruiting and staffing efforts for Henry & Horne in addition to continuing professional education crediting and reporting for certified public accountants.

Prior to joining Henry & Horne in 1999, Braun served over six years as a Human Resources Manager for a manufacturing facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Prior to that, she toured the world with military service in the United States Air Force. She has lived in Nebraska, Arizona, Texas, California plus overseas tours in Turkey and Germany. Her background in team building, employee relations, and employment law are a valuable asset to the firm.

Braun holds a Master's degree in Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management and a B.A. in Management from the University of Sioux Falls. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and a past board member for the East Valley Human Resources Association. Her volunteerism with the Arizona SHRM State Council has included roles as HRCI Director, Secretary, SHRM Foundation Director and currently serves as Awards and Recognition Director. Braun regularly facilitates graduate level classes at Keller Graduate School of Management.

Lisa Carlton, MBA, SPHR is the Director of Compensation and Benefits @ Stormont-Vail HealthCare in Topeka, Kan. She has over twenty five years of Human Resources experience, with many years in HR Management. She is an adjunct professor for Human Resources classes @ Friends University and also teaches the HRCI PHR/SPHR preparatory classes through Washburn University. Carlton is the immediate past State Council Director of Kansas SHRM and has been involved in SHRM for many years.

Yomi Fawehinmi is multifaceted and multidimensional; he’s regularly referred to by people who know him as Prof or Dean. He regularly combines the roles of Social entrepreneur, Trainer, Writer, Career Coach, Human Resources Expert, Business Development Consultant, Strategist/ Planner, mentor and Patriot.

Fawehinmi graduated as a First class degree holder in Estate Management form the Federal University of Technology, Akure. Fawehinmi was a University Scholar and received 5 awards on his graduation day. He proceeded to obtain a Masters degree in Estate Management from the same School.

Fawehinmi followed his passion to teach by starting out as a lecturer at his Alma mater before proceeding to the University Of Lagos. At the University of Lagos, Fawehinmi was the pioneer coordinator of the part-time program in estate management. Fawehinmi was also a member of the university senate. Fawehinmi has edited 3 books, and has over 20 published papers in learned journals and academic conferences.

Fawehinmi currently works with Chevron with a career spanning from the public affairs function to Human resources. Fawehinmi has been a strategist and analysis for the Public Affairs function for Chevron’s Nigeria/ Mid Africa business Unit. In this role, he has designed programs on Corporate responsibility, issues management and Community engagement. These programs have been recognized for their contribution to development in Nigeria. Fawehinmi has also been involved in the development, implementation and evaluation of several corporate responsibility programs in Africa. Fawehinmi has evaluated social issues for Multi- National companies in Nigeria, Angola and Ghana. He has also facilitated sessions on corporate responsibility, negotiation and branding for the executive programs and the MBA of the prestigious Lagos business school.

Fawehinmi holds both the Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) and the Human Resources Management Professional (HRMP) certifications from the foremost Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He is a certified Trainer of Supervisors and Leaders. He is also a certified Partnership broker.

Fawehinmi is a 100% Nigerian grown talent. Fawehinmi is committed to development issues. He has represented his employers on the board of several Non Governmental organizations. Yomi is married to Bosede. They have 2 boys, Precious and Laughter.

Phyllis G. Hartman, SPHR

Phyllis G. Hartman, SPHR, has 24+ years in HR. Hartman was a member of SHRM’s Employee Relations Panel and Workforce Readiness. She’s spoken at the SHRM Annual Conference, PA, Utah, Vermont and Virginia SHRM programs, Student Conferences and PHRA as well as dental study clubs, chambers of commerce, and the Federal Drug Czar’s office.

PGHR provides HR consulting services for small to midsized organizations in non-profit and for-profit sectors.

Hartman has an MS in HRM, La Roche College and a BSEd, Edinboro State University and is SPHR certified since 1990. She’s served on the BOD of PHRA and was President in 1997. Hartman’s written whitepapers, book chapters, articles and co-authored Never Get Lost Again: Navigating Your HR Career, published by SHRM. She teaches HR and business courses at LaRoche College and serves as Vice Chair on the Board of Trustees of the Homeless Children’s Education Fund.

Sharlyn Lauby, SPHR

Sharlyn Lauby is president of the consulting firm ITM Group Inc., which focuses on developing training solutions that engage and retain talent in the workplace. The company has been named one of the Top Small Businesses in South Florida. She is also the author of the blog HR Bartender, a friendly place to talk about workplace issues. The blog has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Business Blogs Worth Reading by the Society for Human Resource Management.

Lauby is a past member of SHRM’s Membership Advisory Council (MAC). She has been awarded human resources professional of the year by the Human Resource Association of Broward County and the Sam Walton Emerging Entrepreneur award, which recognizes women business owners for their community contributions. Lauby also served by appointment from former Florida Governor Jeb Bush on the Governor’s Alliance for the Employment of Citizens with Disabilities.

Joyce M. LeMay, SPHR

Joyce LeMay, SPHR is an Associate Professor in the Business & Economics department at Bethel University in St Paul, MN. LeMay earned her Bachelor’s degree from UW-Stout and completed her MBA from Metropolitan State University. She has been SPHR certified since 1999. LeMay has worked with numerous industries from small start-up companies to large multinational organizations in various management and consulting positions. In her 25+ year career she has focused on working with leaders to help establish and maintain healthy and productive work environments focusing on the implementation of ethical and effective human resource and business strategies. Besides teaching she continues to work with organizations as a human resource/business consultant. LeMay has also been an active volunteer with SHRM at the local and state level with her most recent position as the Membership Director for the SHRM MN State Council.

Alison E. Nolan, PHR

Alison Nolan is presently the HR Manager in the Greensboro, NC office for LF USA (a subsidiary of Li & Fung Limited). LF USA Inc. distributes and markets apparel. The company offers garments, fashion accessories, sports goods, and promotional merchandise. Additionally, it provides supply chain management services. Her responsibilities include working with corporate Legal Counsel to investigate and resolve Employee Relations issues.

Prior to joining LF USA, Nolan worked as a Site HR Manager at Ciba Corporation. There she served as Compliance Coordinator and was responsible for the company’s EEO Reporting and Affirmative Action Reporting for seven locations across the United States.

Since 2003, Nolan has been a member of the Human Resources Management Association of Greensboro (NC), which is a local SHRM affiliated chapter. In 2008, she was awarded the HR Professional of the Year Award by her chapter peers and served as Chapter President in 2009. Today, she is the Treasurer for the NCSHRM State Council. Alison has been PHR certified since 2003.

Kenneth M. Pinnock

Ken Pinnock is the Associate Director of Human Resources and oversees Talent Management and Employee Relations for the University of Denver, in Denver Colorado. Pinnock’s previous work has included consulting and working with a variety of organizations in the private and public sector on many facets of HR including strategy, employee relations, compensation and benefits, staffing and measurement. He has been a frequent presenter and facilitator with organizations in the United States, Canada and Europe, as well as local, regional and national conferences. Pinnock is an instructor for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and an Adjunct Faculty member in the Strategic Human Resource Management graduate program at the University of Denver. Pinnock holds a Master’s Degree in Management from Regis University in Denver and is a graduate of the University of Denver’s business school with a degree in Business Management. He has also earned the (SPHR) and (GPHR) designation through the HR Certification Institute in Alexandria, Virginia.

Bonnie Turner currently serves as a Sr. Human Resource Director for Master Brand Cabinets, Inc. a division of Fortune Brands Home and Security. She is responsible for overseeing human resource activities for six manufacturing facilities throughout the United States. In addition, she is an Adjunct Instructor in the online program in the Keller Graduate School of Management for DeVry University. Turner received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas, a Master’s degree from Western Michigan University and her undergraduate degree from Kalamazoo College.
