Student Programs 

The Society for Human Resource Management's Student Program was created in 1965 to promote mutually beneficial interaction between HRM students and practitioners. Since the first chapter was chartered more than 40 years ago, the student program has experienced tremendous growth. The program now includes over 450 affiliated student chapters and more than 15,000 student members.

2014 Regional Student Conference
Conferences in the NE, SE, SWC and PW regions have concluded.  The NC conference, the final regional conference in 2014, will be held on April 25-26 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Read about the results of the 2014 Regional Student Conference Case Competition.

Student Chapter Information Form -- NEW Due Date
The 2014-2015 Student Chapter Information Forms (SCIF) has a new due date!  The form for the upcoming academic year is due June 1.  Don't delay.  Access the SCIF form here.

2014-2015 Merit Award Year Begins April 1
Ready to begin your planning for the 2014-2015 Student Chapter Merit Award Year?  The planning workbook and worksheet are now available.  Begin your planning here.  The award year is April 1, 2014 through March 31, 2015.  All activities must be completed by March 31, 2015.

April 15th Deadline for Submission of 2013-2014 Merit Award Program  
The 2013-2014 Year-end Report for all active student chapters was due April 15th.  All active student chapters are required to submit a year-end report as one of the requirements of maintaining active status.  If your chapter did not submit a year-end report by the deadline, please complete and submit a minimum of Section 1 of the report today!  The year-end reporting document is available here.  The reporting period is April 1, 2013 - March 31, 2014, and all activities reported must have been completed by March 31, 2014.  All reports submitted after April 15th are ineligible for award consideration.

Do you have changes to your roster? New members? Please use the SHRM Student Chapter Roster Update Request form to submit any changes/additions to your membership roster. This user-friendly form is the most efficient method to ensure any changes are made in a timely fashion.

Advisor of the Year Award
The SHRM Foundation is sponsoring the annual Advisor of the Year award to recognize one advisor's outstanding service and leadership provided to the student chapter in the 2013-14 year.  The nomination period for the 2013-14 Advisor of the Year Award has now closed. The award will be presented at the Society's Annual Student Conference, June 21, 2014 in Orlando, Florida.
