Pinnacle Awards

The Pinnacle Awards Program is designed to recognize outstanding achievements in chapter/state council development and contributions to the advancement of effective human resource management. All SHRM professional chapters and state councils are eligible to compete in this program if they have submitted their SHAPE year-end report and meet the applicable minimum affiliation requirements. Winners will each receive a $1,000 grant presented at a chapter/state council meeting with special recognition in SHRM publications and during the Volunteer Leaders' Summit. The Excel Awards for Chapters and State Councils

Introduced for 2010, the recognition component of the SHRM Affiliate Program for Excellence (SHAPE) is the Excel Awards. Awards may be earned at four levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each level builds on a prescribed set of requirements and accomplishments. Chapters and state councils must submit a SHAPE Year-End Report no later than the due date to be considered for an award. Winners will receive award signage and recognition in SHRM publications and at conferences. For more information on the award levels, please visit the SHAPE Center.

Membership Star and Superstar Awards

The Membership Star and Superstar Awards recognize achievement in SHRM membership growth. All chapters and state councils are eligible for this program. Award levels recognize membership growth during the calendar year. The 2014 award parameters were:  Star: 1% -3.99% and Superstar: 4%+.

The 2015 Award parameters are:  Star:  0%-2.99% and Superstar: 3%+.

Award winners will receive a recognition e-mail and award graphics for their use in publicizing their achievement in newletters, on their website, etc. Award notification will be made in March.
