HR Competency Study
Since 1987, the Human Resource Competency Study (HRCS) has been used to determine what knowledge and abilities are necessary for HR professionals to be successful.

Dave Ulrich and Wayne Brockbank, from The RBL Group and the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, recently completed Round 5 of the HRCS with the assistance of global research partners:

  • Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)
  • IAE School of Business
  • IMI, Tsinghua University
  • AHRI
  • National HRD Network.

Over 10,000 individuals participated in the 2007 study, making this the largest global study on HR competencies. Two HR Competency program options have been developed to meet the needs of HR professionals at every level of an organization.
