SPHRDiversity and Inclusion: The Foundation for Creativity and Innovation
Workplace Application: This workshop examines the link between diversity and inclusion and creativity and innovation. Learn how you can make your organization more creative and innovative by better addressing the issues of diversity and inclusion.

Creativity and innovation are important to all organizations, and yet many do not maximize their potential in these areas by not addressing diversity and inclusion well. Many of the factors needed to maximize creativity and innovation within an organization are also the factors required for diversity and inclusion. Presenter Dr. Robbins will take participants through an examination of those factors, and will make the case for a new, 21st century approach to diversity and inclusion.

Presenter: Steve Robbins, Ph.D., chief "What If?" officer, S.L. Robbins & Associates, Grand Rapids, Mich.

SPHRHow to Create a Strategic Diversity ROI Plan: A Simulation
Workplace Application: This session will illustrate the use of diversity metrics as a measurement and accountability system to enhance diversity change efforts.

There is a common saying—"You can’t manage what you don’t measure"—that is certainly true when it comes to diversity. Measuring the results of diversity initiatives is a key strategic requirement to demonstrate contribution to organizational performance. This presentation will use an interactive "mini case study" scenario using specific computer-based tools and other approaches to forecast, plan and implement challenging but realistic goals to achieve a set of diversity initiatives. It will illustrate the use of diversity metrics as a measurement and accountability system to enhance diversity change efforts.

Presenter: Dr. Edward E. Hubbard, president and CEO, Hubbard & Hubbard, Inc., Petaluma, Calif.
