Visa

A citizen of a foreign country, wishing to enter the U.S., generally must first obtain a visa, either a nonimmigrant visa for temporary stay, or an immigrant visa for permanent residence. The type of visa you must have is defined by immigration law, and relates to the purpose of your travel. If your destination is the U.S., visit www.unitedstatesvisas.gov for information about new visa policies and procedures for visitors to the United States.

Confirmation Letter

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) will provide confirmation letters upon request only to individuals who are already registered the SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition. You can use your confirmation letter for your VISA arrangements.

Global Networking Lounge

The Global Networking Lounge is a place designed to provide a meeting point for both our conference attendees from around the world and U.S.-based HR professionals with an interest in global HR issues. Come meet and exchange ideas with experts and fellow global HR professionals from abroad over coffee or lunch. More than 40 countries were represented by HR professionals from global corporations and overseas HR professional associations at our 2008 Annual Conference & Exposition. The Global Networking Lounge also features social and educational activities.

Hotel Accommodations

Hotel reservations for the SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition will ONLY be accepted through the Wyndham Jade/SHRM Housing Bureau. Designated hotels for the Annual Conference will NOT accept reservations at any time. It is highly recommended that you make your reservations early.
