Room Rates: $205 for a single/double

This remarkable resort and spa is located on 360 acres in Rancho Mirage, five miles from the Palm Springs International Airport. It features two 18-hole golf courses, fabulous restaurants, and access to local attractions such as sightseeing tours of celebrity homes, ballooning above the desert, and more.

To make hotel reservations, contact the Westin Central Reservation Office at 1-800-937-8461 and mention that you are attending the SHRM Strategy Conference. Hotel reservations made after August 28, 2008 will be taken on a space-available basis at a higher rate. It is highly recommended that you make your reservations early, because the hotel may sell out before the cut-off.

GETTING TO THE CONFERENCE

The Westin is about five miles from the Palm Springs International Airport. Cabs are available for $30 one way, and Limo For You (760-322-1881) will pick you up for $80.


CONFERENCE ATTIRE

Business casual is appropriate throughout the conference. Be sure to pack a light sweater or jacket for air-conditioned conference meeting rooms.
