SHRM co-sponsors AARP’s 2013 Best Employers Award
The CEOs of SHRM and AARP – Hank Jackson and A. Barry Rand – announced via video at the 2012 SHRM Annual Conference in Atlanta that SHRM is co-sponsoring AARP’s 2013 Best Employers for Workers Over 50 Award. The deadline for applications is November 12, 2012, and the winners will be honored during SHRM’s 2013 Annual Conference in Chicago.

This April 10, 2012, SHRM webcast, which carried recertification credit, featured Bob Carr, SHRM’s SVP for Marketing & Communications, and Jean Setzfand, AARP’s Vice President of Financial Security. It looked at key HR strategies that should be integrated into an overall talent management program for today’s multi-generational workforce.
