STAFFING MANAGEMENT. Some professions are already facing skills shortages, and
others will soon as more of their employees reach typical
retirement age. Make plans to alleviate the crisis in your
company.
RELOCATION. A weak U.S. housing market is hurting employees’ chances
of successfully relocating without losing money and putting
employers in the middle of difficult real estate
transactions.
HR TECHNOLOGY. Technology is interwoven into almost every HR function,
but keeping tools secure and problem-free is a continuing
challenge for businesses of all sizes.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT. About half of the employees who participated in a nationwide
survey said their company’s approach to career development
failed to meet their personal needs.
OUTSOURCING & CONSULTING. The outsourcing of HR management processes -- such as
payroll, benefits administration and training -- has been
occurring for years, but the scale and scope of HR outsourcing
has been growing recently.
AWARDS & INCENTIVES. Incentive travel used to be a perquisite for sales executives
only, but HR professionals now are incorporating travel
incentives in their overall employee motivation programs.
