SHRM has established the Hurricane Response Employment Center to assist members who have been displaced by Hurricane Katrina or Rita find employment. Members can post resumes and also search for jobs from SHRM’s HR Jobs service. As part of SHRM's multi-pronged effort to support its members in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, the Society announces the launch of the SHRM-EAPA Joining Hands Project in conjunction with the Employee Assistance Professionals Association (EAPA). Read more about this service.

The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has launched a comprehensive three-pronged initiative to support members adversely affected by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The first is to locate members directly affected by the hurricane and to help them return to productive work in the profession (see above). The second is to tap into the HR expertise of SHRM members and staff to share vital information and resources. The third is to leverage partnerships with other organizations that can help serve the needs of SHRM members and their organizations.
