What is the SHRM/Rutgers LINE?
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Rutgers University School of Management and Labor Relations are working in collaboration to produce and publish the monthly SHRM/Rutgers LINE® (Leading Indicator of National Employment®). Two parallel indexes are released each month. One surveys HR professionals at over 500 manufacturing firms, the second surveys HR professionals at over 500 Service Sector firms. Each series has the following components: total vacancies, recruiting difficulty, new hire compensation and employment expectations.
