About the presenters: Dr. Nikki Rai is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Rosenberg School of Optometry, University of the Incarnate Word. Her responsibilities at the school include pediatrics, Contact lens and public health. Prior to joining RSO, Dr. Rai served as adjunct clinical faculty at the University of Waterloo. In 2012 she was recognized for her contributions to Contact Lens Education at Waterloo and was awarded the Dr. George Mertz Travel Award by the Association of Contact Lens Educators (AOCLE). She also spearheaded & managed a Comprehensive Pediatric Eye Screening project for Sightsavers International in Bangalore, India for two years.
Celina Burns is responsible for leading the overall development and implementation of Davis Visions strategic and operating plans; and execution of same ensuring the profitability of this managed vision care business. With extensive experience in health care and wellness background, Ms. Burns is directly responsible for cultivating developmental opportunities with strategic partners to ensure growth and sustainability while navigating through health care reform. Ms. Burns began her career in hospital contracting and medical economics, led the start-up of a leading Medicare managed care plan, held market leadership and general management roles for some of the largest national health plans, and prior to joining Davis Vision was a managing director lead for accountable care consulting for a leading benefits firm.
