Special Expertise Panels

​The SHRM Special Expertise Panels identify topics of importance to the HR profession. Each of the 5 panels is made up of as many as 15 SHRM professional members who each serve one-year terms (up to two terms). Panel members report emerging trends in specific HR topic areas, provide expert advice and give guidance on public policy. Members must have a minimum of minimum of 8-10 years progressive HR expertise with strong knowledge in specific panel topics; good communication and interpersonal skills, an established professional network with strategic/operational connections, and the ability to participate. All nominations are reviewed and recommended by the Panel Selection Committee, comprised of SHRM members and staff.
