There are indications that workplace will fast-forward to a future where HR will cease to be what it is. Digitalization and disruption are fast changing the nature of work and CHRO's are now, more than ever before, becoming drivers of change and accelerators of digital transformation. Imagine a further where a cloud-based chatbots can answer employee queries related to leave and company policies, provides simple ways of employee appreciation across all levels of corporate hierarchy and also gives them an overview of job openings across the company! Will this make HR obsolete or force HR to reinvent itself in a newer light than before and truly demonstrate itself as a critical business partner?
