The 'TECH'TONIC Talent Shift : Navigating in the Experience Economy

SHRM India Roundtable In Association with Oracle

Session Brief:

In the age of technological revolution, it is imperative that organizations ride the digital wave or risk drowning. Research suggests that organization change stems more from the environment than any other factor. Every system tries to maintain balance with its environment by self-correcting or sending signals that warrant correction. The current environment is pushing companies to re-invent the way they work. There's no doubt that a more automated future is coming. Employers predict 17 percent of work will be automated by 2020, compared to about 5 percent in 2014, according to Willis Towers Watson, a global consulting company.

Organizations that invest in employee experience are more productive, valuable, attractive, innovative, profitable, and have superior stock performance than those who don't. These "Experiential Organizations" crush the competition in every metric, says Jacob Morgan author of the book Employee Experience Advantage.

In this Round table discussion:

  • Explore how companies are reinventing their HR practices to meet the needs of the dynamic environment
  • Map your organization's growth stage to an organization maturity model to implement solutions that work best for your context
  • Enhance your organization's effectiveness by implementing solutions that address your talent challenges
  • Battle it out 'in favour' or 'against' in our SHRM Debate on
Workplace Technology - Enhancing Employee Experience or Hampering it?
