Leading employers have been addressing the varying mental health needs of their populations. Some needs are best suited for digital, self-directed solutions, other needs are more critical or acute, requiring specific clinical interventions, and many fall somewhere in between. The pandemic has brought a renewed spotlight on the importance of the need for all of these efforts.

While there are challenges, employers are also finding new opportunities to evolve their strategies and solutions. Andréa Caballero will present insights from research on purchaser sharing and solutions in the mental health space. Heather Readhead, MD, MPH, from CalPERS will share strategies, lessons learned, and design considerations as a purchaser and a public health clinician. In this program you will:

  • Learn how employer strategies evolved through the pandemic
  • Understand the employers’ current challenges and opportunities
  • Discover how employers choose the right partners to care for their populations
  • Hear how CalPERS has designed and deployed mental health programs and considered quality/outcome metrics and data needs
