About the presenters:
Bradford Campbell
is a partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath. He is a nationally recognized figure in employer-sponsored retirement plans who leverages his prior experience as the U.S. Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employee Benefits to advise clients across a broad range of ERISA issues. As ERISA’s former “top cop” and primary regulator, Campbell has detailed and wide-ranging knowledge of the structure and operation of ERISA plans, insight that he applies to client engagements. A prominent voice in the debates over fiduciary and best-interest regulations, Campbell has testified before various congressional committees more than a dozen times. He has a track record of successfully resolving Department of Labor and IRS investigations and audits for large service providers and plan sponsors, and serves as an expert witness in ERISA litigation.

Michael Kozemchak, AIF, PRP, C(k)P, is a founding managing director of Institutional Investment Consulting (IIC). He has 24 years of experience consulting on Retirement Plans. During his 18 years with IIC, the company has been recognized by PLANSPONSOR Magazine, PLANADVISER Magazine, Pensions and Investments Magazine and the Financial Times as one of the nation’s leading retirement plans consulting firms. He has been a regular speaker at numerous industry conferences over many years, including SHRM, PLANSPONSOR, Association of Financial Professionals and SPARK.

Lewis M. Rowe, AIF, is a managing director at Institutional Investment Consulting (IIC). He joined the IIC team in since 2019 and has more than 30 years of retirement plan consulting experience, with expertise in vendor RFPs, vendor management, client relationship management, investment selection and monitoring, plan design, and employee communications. Under his leadership, the IIC Fiduciary Training program has been delivered to over 500 plan sponsor representatives, including many from Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, as well as recognized not-for-profit organizations.

Kate Pitts is a vice president at State Street Global Advisors and a participant engagement strategist within the defined contribution (DC) team. She is responsible for supporting the development of State Street's participant engagement programs, which include specialized communications and education campaigns. Prior to her current role, Pitts held a variety of positions at State Street, including serving as a junior investment strategist within the DC team, an associate in the consultant relations group and as an Associate of the Global Equity Beta Solutions Team.

Melissa Kahn is the managing director of retirement policy for the defined contribution (DC) team at State Street Global Advisors. She a leads the DC team in developing and communicating the team's public policy positions as they relate to the retirement market, and is responsible for cultivating relationships with key retirement policy decision-makers. An attorney with extensive experience in developing and implementing policy and strategies on employee benefits legislation and regulation, she has worked for many years on retirement oncome policy. Previously, Kahn in MetLife's Washington D.C. government relations office. She also has worked for the Retirement Strategies Group, the American Council of Life Insurance and the Equitable Life Assurance Society of America.

Brendan Curran, CFA, is a managing director of State Street Global Advisors and head of U.S. investment strategy within the defined contribution (DC) team. He is responsible for leading a team of DC investment strategists who focus on expanding State Street's sales efforts across DC clients and prospects, supporting the existing client base and contributing to the on-going development of a best-in-class DC product offering across the U.S. Curran is a member of the Defined Contribution Investment Group (DCIG), which helps oversee State Street's Defined Contribution multi-asset class solutions funds including Target Date Funds and Real Assets.
