Merck’s evolution from an outdated rewards and recognition strategy to a comprehensive employee recognition program is a case study in how visionary companies can leverage recognition to boost key HR metrics. In just a few short years, the leading biopharmaceutical company saw dramatic increases in employee retention, performance and engagement.

In this program, you'll learn how Merck leveraged their recognition technology to fuel a groundbreaking diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) initiative.

Not only has the program encouraged a more diverse group of employees to receive and give recognition, but it’s helped shift the mindset within the organization and moved DE&I far beyond basic compliance.

In this session, Merck's Christopher Cardarelli and Michaela Leo will share actionable insights to help organizations:

  • Boost key HR metrics and ROI by moving from tactical, ad-hoc rewards to a comprehensive social recognition program
  • Leverage social recognition technology to fuel DE&I initiatives that go beyond basic compliance
  • Engage a more diverse cross-section of employees to participate in recognition and realize the benefits of "in the moment" microcoaching
  • Measure the effectiveness of DE&I initiatives and their impact on organizational effectiveness and well-being
