Hispanic Heritage Month concludes Oct. 15 and it's not too late for organizations large and small to celebrate the largest minority group in the U.S. It can be as simple as recognizing your Hispanic employees for their contributions or more far-reaching efforts such as becoming a corporate partner with the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce or working with Minority Business Enterprises suppliers and vendors, suggests the Hispanic Market Advisors.

Hispanic Heritage Month 2020
During National Hispanic Heritage Month—Sept. 15 to Oct. 15—the U.S. government celebrates the contributions of more than 60 million Hispanic Americans to our culture and society. National Hispanic Heritage Month, with roots going back to 1968, celebrates the anniversary of independence of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
The department commemorates this month by highlighting the biographies of the following outstanding Hispanic employees who support diplomatic efforts around the world.

Diversity Best Practices Members Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month
Some organizations are tapping into the employee resource groups (ERGs) to lead activities. AbbVie's AHORA ERG, for example, co-hosted a professional development workshop with the Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement. Aramark's Impacto ERG singled out 30 Hispanic employees—from an HR specialist to an executive chef to an IT manager—who went "above and beyond in response to the pandemic." Co-workers nominated the 30 employees who have been celebrated each of the 30 days of Hispanic Heritage Month and will be recognized during a virtual ceremony Oct. 15. And Howmet Aerospace's Hispanic ERG has been highlighting the culture and accomplishments of Hispanic and Latino employees.
