​Janet Alberti, CPA 

​Janet Alberti has 30 years of leadership experience in finance and administration including work in nonprofit, broadcasting, technology, and public accounting industries.  She is currently the Anne and Jim Rothenberg Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens (The Huntington), in San Marino, California.  The Huntington, founded in 1919, is an institution that supports and promotes the appreciation of, as well as research and education, in the humanities, the arts, and botanical science on a campus with over 120 acres. At The Huntington, Alberti oversees all aspects of the financial portfolio, and has responsibility for Human Resources, Food Services, and the Huntington Store.  Prior to joining The Huntington, Alberti was the Deputy Director, Administration and Finance, for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). She joined SFMOMA in a leadership role overseeing finance, legal, information technology, facilities, and operations during a transformational time of planning, ramping up, and opening of the new museum.  Alberti also served in financial, strategic, and operational leadership roles for the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago as Deputy Director and CFO, public television station WTTW/Chicago, and digital start-up businesses. She began her professional career as a Senior Auditor with Arthur Andersen.

Alberti attended the Getty Museum Leadership Institute, was the board vice chair at the Association of Midwest Museums, and served as board chair of finance for the Arts Alliance Illinois. A certified public accountant, she graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in business administration from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana.
