Jessica Perry will be the Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) new senior vice president for publications and media.
Perry, who has more than 25 years of experience directing online initiatives for major media operations, joins SHRM from National Journal Group, where she was vice president and general manager. At SHRM, she will focus on the association’s mission of advancing the skills and knowledge of its membership of HR professionals by delivering high-quality print and digital publications. She also will oversee the SHRMStore.
Her appointment is effective June 9. Perry steps into the role vacated by Gary Rubin, who retired in May after leading SHRM’s publications division for 12 years.

"Hank" Jackson, SHRM president and CEO. “SHRM publications and electronic media play a critical role in connecting professionals in the human resources industry, and Jessica’s extensive publishing and digital experience and aptitude will further these important efforts to the benefit of our membership.”

At National Journal Group, she oversaw digital strategy and operations, including a website re-launch. Earlier in her career, Perry led product operations at Conde Nast Digital, where she was responsible for Web and mobile initiatives for more than 20 brands. She also has worked in business development and leadership roles at Yahoo and Dow Jones. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Perry is on the advisory board of Market Realist and has been an adviser to Broadcast Interactive Media. She also has served on the board of the Software & Information Industry Association.
