Janet Alberti, CPA, Sally Hornick Anderson, SHRM-SCP, and Michelle Bottomley will join the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Board of Directors beginning Jan. 1, 2017.
SHRM announced the new board members during its Volunteer Leaders' Summit held Nov. 17-19 in Washington, D.C.
Alberti is deputy director, administration and finance, for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and has 30 years of experience in finance and administration. She attended the Getty Museum Leadership Institute, was vice chair of the board of the Association of Midwest Museums and served as chair of finance for the board of Arts Alliance Illinois.
Hornick Anderson serves as head of people development, global business organization, at Google. She is based in the greater Chicago area and is responsible for onboarding, leadership development, sales skills development and business acumen learning, as well as guiding change management. Hornick Anderson is a three-term past president of the Chicago SHRM chapter and now serves as a director-at-large. The Illinois Diversity Council recognized her with its Most Powerful and Influential Women Award in April 2016.
Bottomley is former chief marketing and sales officer at Mercer in New York City, where she was a senior partner. Her responsibilities included setting the firm's global marketing and sales strategy. Prior to joining Mercer in 2014, she was chief marketing officer for Barclaycard's U.S. and global business. The National Organization for Women New York listed her among its 2015 "Women of Power and Influence," AdAge included her on its 2007 "Women to Watch" list, and Advertising Women of New York named her "Working Mother of the Year" in 2006.
The new board members will assume the seats of Sherri Enright, SHRM-SCP, J.D., My-Chau Nguyen, CPA, and Jorge Consuegra, who will have completed their terms.
Coretha Rushing, SHRM-SCP, will begin a two-year term as board chair. She is corporate vice president, chief human resources officer, at Equifax Inc., located in the greater Atlanta area.
Brian Silva, SHRM-SCP, will serve as immediate past chair. He is chief human resources officer and senior vice president, administration, at Fresenius Medical Care NA in Waltham, Mass.
