Bettina Deynes provides overall direction and guidance to the HR function at SHRM and serves as a business partner to the senior leadership team. Prior to joining SHRM, Deynes worked for the City of Alexandria, Va., as chief HR officer. Her 20-year career also includes serving as HR executive for the Washington Nationals Baseball and the National Association of Social Workers, among others. She earned her Master in Business Administration and Master in International Management from the University of Maryland University College, and her Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Phoenix.
