ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) 2014 Talent Management Conference & Exposition will enable attendees to learn about current topics in recruitment, including employee engagement, legislation, leadership and social media.
Conference sessions will also focus on other timely issues that include complying with new EEOC criminal records rules such as “ban the box,” equipping organizations to withstand the skills gap, managing remote workforces, recruiting the Millennial generation, integrating mobile recruiting, and utilizing big data in strategic workforce plans.
During the conference, SHRM and the Families and Work Institute (FWI) will release the results of the 2014 National Study of Employers. The report, the last version of which was released in 2012, provides insights into the practices and policies of U.S. employers to address changing needs of the workforce. SHRM’s relationship with FWI dates back to 2011, when the two organizations partnered to change the way businesses view and adopt flexible workplace practices. A press briefing will be held with the authors of the study via conference call from 2-3 p.m. EST/1-2 p.m. CST on Tuesday, April 29. Please contact a member of the Media Affairs team for the dial-in information.
