(Alexandria, Va., January 1, 2006)—The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) announces that Carolyn Gould, SPHR, GPHR, CCP, will serve on the 2006 SHRM Board of Directors. SHRM is the leading voice of the human resource profession, representing the interests of more than 200,000 professional and student members from around the world.
Gould is a principal with PricewaterhouseCoopers and has over 25 years of experience in developing international assignment compensation and localization policies for many Fortune 500 corporations. She has 15 years of experience in providing global mobility administration services for companies that outsource these employee relocation services as well as in providing best practice advice on operations and systems for those companies that provide these services with in-house resources. She has recently expanded this outsourcing experience to include assisting companies in the transition of their global compliance services, including payroll and accounting, to an outsourced model.
Prior to joining PricewaterhouseCoopers in 1989, Gould was with Organization Resources Counselors for 11 years as an international compensation specialist.
Gould has been an active member of SHRM for more than 12 years and is past chair of the SHRM Foundation, past chair of the North American HR Management Association (NAHRMA), past president of the Institute for International Human Resources and is a NAHRMA delegate to the World Federation of Personnel Management Association.
Gould graduated from Montclair State University with a B.S. in mathematics and holds the SPHR, GPHR and CCP designations.
