The award, which comes with a $50,000 prize from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the HR Certification Institute and the SHRM Foundation, was presented today at SHRM’s Strategy Conference in San Diego.

“What is the impact of human resources on an organization? Through his years of research, writing and education, John Boudreau has helped organizations of all types understand the value of HR,” said Henry G. “It is deeply satisfying to receive the Michael R. Losey HR Research Award, and high praise that this esteemed organization would recognize my work's value to HR research and practice,” Boudreau said. “The award reflects my good fortune to have had such amazing students and colleagues in industry and academia, including Michael Losey himself, and the privilege of collaborating with so many of my fellow Losey award winners.”

The award, established in 2000, is named in honor of former SHRM President and CEO Michael R. Losey, SPHR.
