ACA, State Law Trends, FLSA, Drug Testing and More: Topics at SHRM Employment Law & Legislative Conference March 23-25 in Washington

ALEXANDRIA, Va. The Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM) 2015 Employment Law & Legislative Conference will have a strong focus on timely topics such as health care reform, state employment law trends, the impact of changes to the FLSA and Supreme Court decisions.

Other timely session topics include how workplace bullying affects a company’s bottom line, preventing pregnancy discrimination, and learning about drug and alcohol testing trends while avoiding potential legal traps.

More than 500 human resource professionals from across the country are expected to attend the conference.

Keynote speakers include Chuck Todd, NBC News’ political director and moderator of “Meet the Press”; Sallie Krawcheck, owner of Ellevate, a leading professional women’s networking organization; and Dan Abrams, chief legal affairs anchor for ABC News.

Advocacy Day: On Wednesday, March 25, hundreds of conference attendees will visit Capitol Hill to talk about federal legislation affecting the workplace.
