Local Chapters and State Councils Recognized for Professional and Membership Excellence
(Alexandria, Va., November 10, 2006)—The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) today awarded Pinnacle Awards for 2006 to eight SHRM chapters and one state council. The Pinnacle Award recognizes excellence in human resources management. It is the most prestigious chapter and state council award offered by SHRM, which represents more than 210,000 human resource (HR) professionals around the world.
The Pinnacle Award was established in 1991 to promote the outstanding achievements and contributions of HR professionals. This year's winners were selected from more than 570 SHRM chapters and 52 state councils nationwide.
"The Pinnacle Awards represent the highest achievement in the HR profession. The winners demonstrate how to leverage human capital to maximize organizational success," said Susan R. Meisinger, SPHR, president and CEO of SHRM. "It is with great pride that we acknowledge the dedication and achievements of this year's winners," she added.
"As an organization that partners with thousands of HR professionals, ADP is proud to once again sponsor this prestigious industry award," said Mike Martone, Chief Operating Officer-elect of ADP Employer Services, the exclusive sponsor of the Pinnacle Awards.
