Electronic Arts Executive Gabrielle Toledano Appointed to 2009 SHRM Board of Directors

Alexandria, Va. – The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest HR organization, has appointed Gabrielle Toledano of San Francisco, California to serve on its 2009 SHRM Board of Directors.SHRM is the leading voice of the human resource profession, representing the interests of more than 250,000 professional and student members from around the world.

The SHRM Board of Directors voted unanimously to appoint Toledano to fill the unexpired term of the vacated Director-at-Large position on the 2009 SHRM Board of Directors. Toledano’s term will extend through the end of 2009 and she may be considered for re-election to the SHRM Board of Directors in 2010 and thereafter.

"We are very excited to have Gabrielle join the SHRM Board,” said SHRM Board Chairman Robb E. Van Cleave.“Her background and experiences will be a tremendous asset to the Board."

Toledano is currently Executive Vice President of global Human Resources & Facilities for Electronic Arts, Inc. She joined Electronic Arts in February 2006 as Senior Vice President with the same responsibilities. Electronic Arts Inc. (EA), headquartered in Redwood City, California, is the world’s leading interactive entertainment software company.

Prior to joining Electronic Arts, Inc., Toledano held the position of Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Siebel Systems, Inc. from July 2002 to February 2006. Founded in 1993, Siebel Systems was the world’s leading provider of e-Business application software, and was acquired by Oracle in January 2006. She also served in various Human Resources positions for Microsoft Corporation and for Oracle Corporation.

Toledano earned both her undergraduate degree in Humanities and her graduate degree in Education from Stanford University, followed by a Rotary Scholarship assignment in Santiago, Chile.
