The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has named Gina Ayllon executive director of SHRM Northern California Chapter.As executive director of SHRM Northern California Chapter, Ayllon will be responsible for overseeing membership engagement activities, including recruitment, retention and local educational programs for HR professionals living and working in the greater Northern California area. Additionally, she will oversee the financial responsibilities of the Northern California operation. Prior to joining SHRM, Ayllon served for nearly 18 years as executive director of the Professional Association of Childhood Education, where she oversaw the organization’s daily operations, program development and strategic planning initiatives. “We are pleased to have Gina Ayllon join SHRM in this important role of growing and leading SHRM’s membership and presence in the Northern California region,” said J. Robert Carr, senior vice president of membership and external affairs. “Her years of experience in nonprofit and membership management in the Bay Area made her a natural fit for this position.” Her appointment is effective June 12.“I am looking forward to engaging the HR community in Northern California to build a strong network of HR professionals,” said Ayllon. “I also look forward to providing them with the tools, resources and education to be successful in their roles as HR professionals.”Ayllon holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from San Francisco State University. Additionally, she is a Certified Association Executive.The SHRM Northern California chapter was established in January 2017 with the aim to serve HR professionals in the Bay Area, including San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Santa Rosa, Sonoma and North Bay.
