ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Society for Human Resource Management’s (SHRM’s) HR Magazine today announced the names of the honorees on its list of “30 Under 30: A Who’s Who to the Future of HR.” “This recognition celebrates the accomplishments of 30 individuals under 30 years old who have already seen impressive successes in their human resources careers and who show promise for further success,” said Henry G. (Hank) Jackson, president and CEO of SHRM. “They are the very best of the next generation of HR talent.”The 30 chosen individuals work with organizations of all sizes, including Fortune 500 companies and international firms. Some of the honorees’ recognized accomplishments include saving an organization tens of thousands of dollars on training materials by switching to digital delivery, drastically reducing employee turnover by making changes to the company’s recruiting and interview strategy, and coaching an interim CEO through major company changes. HR Magazine asked SHRM’s 285,000 members and the HR community as a whole to nominate their younger peers for “30 Under 30” recognition. It received more than 200 recommendations and reviewed each one with the assistance of SHRM’s HR and membership departments. Honorees had to meet certain criteria in order to be considered. They had to be full-time HR professionals under the age of 30 who made unique and significant contributions to the profession in 2016. Such contributions included:
